Description: Pro-B Flora is the complementary feed that can facilitate proper intestinal function. Its formula, based on yeast obtained from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (brewers' yeast), is enriched with prebiotics and probiotics, such as inulin and yeast cell walls, and stimulates the growth of intestinal flora.

When to use Pro-B Flora: Pro-B Flora should be used to restore intestinal flora after pharmacological treatments (e.g. after using antibiotics), convalescences, food malabsorption and stressful periods. It is the perfect product for horses with swelling due to intestinal flora imbalance. It is suggested to use Pro-B Flora when the horse's diet is rich in cereals, which cause meteorism and flatulence.

Properties of its constituents: Brewers' yeast is an important source of essential amino acids and natural chromoproteins, controlling glycaemic levels and preventing their sudden variations. Inulin plays an important role in the growth of endogenous lactobacilli: if their number increases, the horse's well-being improves (48). In fact, the more the number of lactobacilli in the intestine increases, the more the production of volatile fatty acids (VFAs), vitamins and essential amino acids does too. Pro-B Flora is supplemented with arginine, an amino acid with antioxidant and immunostimulant properties (54).

Use and dosage: Administer 40-50 g of Pro-B Flora per day, properly mixed with the daily ration.

This product does not cause any adverse reaction. Nevertheless, since every organism has its own peculiarities, dietary supplements, feeds and complementary feeds should always be introduced in a horse’s diet gradually, in order to evaluate the product’s effects on the horse.
